Why Not Me?

I had the privilege of having a meal with three WWII vets, one of which is my dad, and the other two who were combatants and survivors of the Battle of the Bulge.  The one theme that kept surfacing from the two was "Why not me?"  They had seen some really gruesome stuff, and some of their comrades were killed in places where they had just been, or right next to them.  That haunted me, and I had heard about that type of feeling before, but never first hand.  This song was a result of that meeting.
